Wild Return to Winning Ways

OK, probably not tonight against the Hurricanes, but tomorrow night for sure against the Thrashers (who will be Thrashees by the time the Wild get through with them).  Actually, now that I think about it some more, if Jacques Lemaire does a pep talk tonight by reminding the players that the 'Canes used to be the Hartford Whalers, we might do OK.  I'm 0 for 2 in my fearless warped predictions so far, so predicting a Wild loss tonight is the best way I can think of to support the good guys.

Key to the game: get Martin Skoula the damn puck!!  At least he's been finishing on his scoring opportunity (too early to use plural yet) which is more than Marian Gaborik and Pavol Demitra can say when they get breakaways.  Can you imagine Kim Johnsson missing the net close in?  OK, maybe ya can, but if the Wild put Johnsson at forward -- he can't defend worth a puck anyway -- at least he'll have time to chase the pucks that hop his stick on the power play and maybe even hold 'em in the offensive zone once in a while.

quando omni flunkus, moritati  Go Wild!!!

Wild Extend Win Streak to Six

I might as well post this headline now; it'll be old news by this time next week, after the Wild have finished feasting on the creampuffs coming up on our schedule.  Go Wild!!!
